Understanding the difference between fish farms and fish ponds

Pond:
In the form of land or a container made specifically for cultivating fish bounded by dikes or levees that is located on the beach or coast, source water comes from sea water or brackish water.

Fish ponds:
In the form of land or a container made specifically for cultivating fish bounded by dikes or levees are located on the mainland, the source of water is fresh water from lakes, reservoirs, rivers, irrigation canals, swamps or springs.
